1. About This Disclosure

This disclosure is provided in accordance with FTC guidelines, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and applicable consumer protection laws. We believe in full transparency about how WishlyBox earns revenue.

2. How We Earn Revenue

  • Paid subscriptions — Subscriptions are our primary source of revenue.
  • Affiliate commissions — When you add product links to your wishlist, those links may include affiliate tracking tags. If a purchase is made through such a link, we may earn a small commission from the retailer.
  • No advertisements — WishlyBox does not display banner ads, pop-ups, or sponsored placements of any kind.

3. How Affiliate Links Work

When you add a product link to your wishlist:

  • We may add an affiliate tracking tag to the URL.
  • When a friend clicks the link, they are directed to the retailer's website via the affiliate link.
  • If they make a purchase, the retailer pays WishlyBox a commission (typically 1-8% of the sale price).

4. What This Means for You

  • Price is not affected — Affiliate commissions are paid by the retailer, not by you. The price you or your friends pay is never increased.
  • Your wishlist is not influenced — We never add, remove, or reorder items based on affiliate relationships.
  • You always see the original URL — Affiliate tags are only applied when friends click links from your shared wishlist.

5. What We Never Do

  • Never add products or recommendations to your wishlists
  • Never display ads, pop-ups, or sponsored content
  • Never prioritise items or suggestions based on commission rates
  • Never share your personal data with retailers for marketing purposes
  • Never modify your wishlist content or order to benefit affiliate partners

6. Third-Party Retailers and Networks

WishlyBox may participate in affiliate programmes operated by networks such as Admitad, Sovrn Commerce, and similar services. Each retailer linked from a wishlist has its own privacy policy and terms of service. WishlyBox is not responsible for the products, services, or practices of third-party retailers.

7. Amazon Associates Disclosure

WishlyBox may participate in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program and equivalent Amazon Associates programmes in other countries (including Amazon EU S.à r.l.). As an Amazon Associate, WishlyBox earns from qualifying purchases.

8. Your Choices

You are not required to use product links in your wishlist. You can add text-only entries without any URLs. Affiliate tracking only applies to items that contain product URLs.
