Give the gift of dreams

Tap "Create Account" on the welcome screen and enter your full name, email address, and a strong password. You can also sign up using Google or Facebook. After registration, you'll go through a short onboarding: choose a starting point (create your own wishlist or help pick a gift), select gifts you do NOT want to receive (forbidden gifts), and set your favorite flowers, colors, and fragrances. You can skip onboarding and fill these in later from Settings.

Enter your registered email and password on the welcome screen, then tap "Log In". If you signed up with Google or Facebook, use the corresponding social login button instead. Your session stays active until you explicitly log out.

On the login screen, tap "Forgot Password?" and enter your email address. You'll receive a password reset link valid for 24 hours. Click the link, set a new password that meets the requirements, and you'll be able to log in with it immediately.

Your password must be 8–128 characters long and include at least one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, one digit, and one special character. A strength indicator guides you as you type — aim for "Strong" for maximum security. All character rules are Unicode-aware, so letters in any script (Cyrillic, Hebrew, etc.) count.

Go to Settings and tap the Language section. Choose from 15 available languages: English, Ukrainian, Hebrew, Russian, Spanish, German, French, Chinese, Arabic, Turkish, Portuguese, Korean, Armenian, Georgian, and Luxembourgish. The entire interface updates immediately. Hebrew and Arabic use right-to-left layout automatically.

After creating your account, you'll be guided through a few quick steps: first, choose whether you want to start by creating your own wishlist or by helping pick a gift for someone. Then select gifts you do NOT want to receive from 16 categories (alcohol, tobacco, perfume, cosmetics, jewelry, and more), and set your favorite flowers, colors, and fragrances. This helps friends pick better gifts for you. You can skip any step and update your preferences later in Settings.

WishlyBox supports 15 languages: English, Ukrainian, Hebrew, Russian, Spanish, German, French, Chinese, Arabic, Turkish, Portuguese, Korean, Armenian, Georgian, and Luxembourgish. Hebrew and Arabic automatically switch to right-to-left layout. Change your language anytime in Settings.

Go to the "My WishlyBox" tab and tap the "+" button. Fill in the wish name (required), and optionally add a description, a link to a product page, a price, a priority level (Low, Medium, or High), and photos (each up to 5 MB, formats: JPG, PNG, WebP — GIFs and small files under 200 KB are kept as-is, larger images are resized automatically). Choose who can see the wish from four visibility options, then save.

Each wish can be set to one of four levels: • Private — only you can see it. • All Friends — visible to every connected friend. • Selected — you pick exactly which friends can see it. • Contact Group — visible to everyone in a chosen contact group (e.g. Family, Colleagues). The default for new wishes is "All Friends". You can change visibility at any time by editing the wish.

When someone views your shared wishlist (via a link or as a connected friend), they can reserve items they plan to buy. Reservations are completely hidden from you — you won't see who reserved what, how many are taken, or any status indicator. Reservations expire automatically after 14 days if not marked as bought, freeing the item for others. After cancelling a reservation, there's a 60-minute cooldown before the same person can reserve that item again.

By default, no — reservations are hidden from the wishlist owner so the gift stays a surprise. You won't see any status, counts, or names. On the Premium or Family plan, you can optionally turn on reservation visibility (Settings → Reservations) to see which of your wishes have been reserved — but who reserved them is never shown.

When creating or editing a wish, tap the priority selector and choose Low, Medium, or High. High-priority wishes appear at the top of your list, making it easy for friends to see what you want most. Priority is visible to anyone who can see the wish.

Yes! When creating or editing a wish, tap the image upload area to add photos. You can upload multiple images (each up to 5 MB). Supported formats are JPG, PNG, and WebP. Large images are automatically resized to fit (max 1200 px on the longest side). GIFs and files under 200 KB are kept at original quality.

Forbidden gifts are items you explicitly do NOT want to receive. Go to the "Forbidden" tab in My WishlyBox to select from 16 predefined categories: Alcohol, Tobacco, Perfume, Sweets, Flowers, Animals, Cosmetics, Jewelry, Clothes, Electronics, Books, Candles, Socks, Kitchenware, Toys, and Sports equipment. You can also add custom entries with notes explaining why. Friends see your forbidden list when viewing your wishlist, helping them avoid unwanted gifts.

Open the wish and tap "Mark as Received". You can record who gave it to you, the date you received it, and add a star rating (1–5). The wish moves to your "Received" tab. This also automatically releases any reservation someone had on the item.

Yes. Use the search bar at the top of your wishlist to find specific wishes by name. You can switch between three tabs: Current (active wishes you still want), Received (gifts you've gotten), and Forbidden (things you don't want). Within the Current tab, wishes are sorted by priority (High first) and can be reordered.

In "My WishlyBox", tap the share icon to generate a public link. The link stays active permanently until you revoke it. Share it via WhatsApp, Telegram, Viber, or copy it to the clipboard. Anyone with the link can view your non-private wishes and reserve items — no account required. Only wishes set to "All Friends", "Selected", or "Contact Group" visibility will appear on the shared page.

When you share your wishlist, a unique link is generated that anyone can open — no account or login needed. Visitors can browse your wishes (based on their visibility settings) and reserve items they plan to buy. The link has no expiration — it stays active until you manually revoke it. Reservations made by guests are hidden from you, just like reservations from registered users.

Yes. Go to your wishlist sharing settings and tap the revoke/regenerate option. The old link stops working immediately — anyone who had it will see a "not found" page. You can generate a new link at any time, which will have a different URL.

No. Anyone with a valid share link can view your wishlist and reserve items without creating an account. They enter their name and email when reserving, so the reservation is tracked even without registration. For Event Special Lists, guests can also provide their details to reserve items.

Guests access an Event Special List via a shared link (no account required). They can browse items organized by category, enter their name and email, and reserve what they plan to buy. The host can see that items are reserved but not which specific guest reserved which item until after the event, keeping the surprise intact.

A Gift Room is a private collaborative space where a group of friends can plan a gift together for someone. Members can view the recipient's wishlist, chat in real time, propose and vote on gift ideas, reserve items, split costs, and coordinate — all without the recipient knowing. The Free plan includes 1 Gift Room; Premium and Family plans unlock unlimited rooms.

Go to the "Gift Rooms" tab and tap "Create Room". Give the room a name, select the gift recipient (pick a contact or enter a custom name), optionally set the event date, and invite members by sharing the room link. You can link the room to the recipient's wishlist so members can browse and reserve directly.

When creating or viewing a room, tap the invite button to generate a join link. Share it with friends via WhatsApp, Telegram, or by copying the link. They'll need a WishlyBox account to join. There's no limit on the number of members in a room.

Inside a room, you can view the recipient's shared wishlist. Tap "Reserve" on any item to claim it — this prevents other room members from buying the same thing. You can have up to 5 active reservations per wishlist owner across all rooms. Reservations expire after 14 days if not marked as bought. The recipient never sees who reserved what.

Yes. Open the reserved item and tap "Cancel Reservation". After cancelling, there's a 60-minute cooldown before you can reserve the same item again — this prevents reservation abuse. The item becomes immediately available for other people to reserve.

Each Gift Room has a built-in group chat where members can discuss gift options, share links and photos, and coordinate plans. You can reply to specific messages, edit or delete your own messages, and react with emoji. Unread message badges appear on the Gift Rooms tab icon. The chat is fully private — only room members can see it.

The "Gift Ideas" tab lets members propose custom gift suggestions beyond the recipient's wishlist. Add a title, description, link, and estimated price. Members can vote on ideas (thumbs up/down) to help the group decide. One idea can be marked as the collective choice, signaling what the group has agreed on.

When a gift has a price, the total is shown automatically. Members can mark themselves as "chipped in" and enter the amount they contributed. The room tracks who has paid and the total collected so far, making it easy to see how much is left. This is a coordination tool — actual money transfer happens outside the app.

Yes. Once the gift has been given, you can archive the room. Archived rooms become read-only — you can still view the chat history, decisions, and who contributed, but no new messages or changes are allowed. You can find archived rooms in the "Archived" section of the Gift Rooms tab.

WishlyBox splits calendar items into two types on separate sub-tabs: • Events — date-based occasions like birthdays, holidays, and anniversaries. They can recur and have reminders. • Activities — social occasions like parties, dinners, or outings. Activities support invitations with RSVP, location, dress code, and can be saved as drafts. Both are managed on the Events page. Tap the "Events" or "Activities" sub-tab to switch between them.

Go to the "Events" tab, make sure you're on the "Events" sub-tab, and tap "+". Enter the event name, select a type (Birthday, Holiday, Anniversary, or Custom), set the date, and add an optional description. You can link the event to a specific contact — useful for tracking friends' birthdays. The Free plan allows up to 5 events.

Yes! When creating an event, enable the recurring option and choose the frequency: Daily, Weekly, Monthly, or Yearly. Yearly is perfect for birthdays and anniversaries — the event automatically advances to the next occurrence after the date passes. You can also set a custom recurrence pattern.

When viewing an event, tap "Add Reminder" to be notified before the date. Options include 1 day, 3 days, 1 week, or 1 month before. The Free plan allows up to 2 reminders per event; Premium and Family plans offer unlimited reminders. You'll receive notifications via push, in-app, and email (depending on your notification settings).

Open an Activity (not an Event — invitations are for Activities only) and tap the invitation icon. Select contacts from your friends list, add an optional personal message, set the location, start and end time, dress code, and RSVP deadline. Invited friends receive a notification. You can also add guest invitations when creating the Activity.

When you receive an invitation, go to your Events page where received invitations appear at the top. Open the invitation to view details (location, time, dress code, message from the host), then respond with Accept or Decline. There is no "Maybe" option — the host sees a clear headcount of confirmed attendees.

The Mini Calendar is a visual monthly overview at the top of your Events page. Dates with upcoming events are highlighted with dots, making it easy to see your schedule at a glance. Tap any highlighted date to jump to the events for that day.

Event Special Lists let you create curated gift lists for specific events — like a wedding registry or birthday wishlist. This is a Premium/Family feature. You can organize items by room or category (Kitchen, Bedroom, etc.), set quantities, and share the list via a public link. Guests can browse and reserve items without needing an account.

Yes! When creating an Activity, you can save it as a draft instead of publishing immediately. Drafts are only visible to you and can be edited and published later when you're ready. Note: the "Save as Draft" option is available for Activities only, not for Events.

Go to the "Contacts" tab and tap "+". You can search for registered users by name or email. When you find someone, send them an invite link — once they tap the link and confirm, you're automatically connected as friends. There's no separate "accept/decline" step: clicking the invite link is the acceptance.

Yes! You can create manual contacts with just a name. Assign them to categories (General, Friends, Family, Colleagues, or custom groups), add notes with useful info (sizes, preferences, dietary needs), and track their events. If they join WishlyBox later and you become connected friends, you can merge the manual contact with their registered account.

Open any contact and assign them to a category: General, Friends, Family, or Colleagues. You can also create custom groups for more specific organization (e.g. "Book Club", "Neighbors"). Filter your contacts list by group to find people quickly. Contact groups also power the "Contact Group" wish visibility option.

Open the contact's detail page and tap "Block". Blocked contacts cannot see your wishlists, send you messages, or interact with you on the platform. You can view and manage blocked users in Settings → Security → Blocked Users. Tap "Unblock" to restore their access.

Yes! Open any contact's detail page and use the notes section to record useful information — like clothing sizes, favorite brands, dietary restrictions, or gift ideas you've been saving. Notes are completely private and only visible to you.

Go to a contact's page and tap "Invite". You can send a personal invite link via email, WhatsApp, Telegram, or by copying the link. When the person signs up through your link, you'll automatically become connected friends. Successful referrals can earn you extra trial days (28 days instead of the standard 14).

A Family Group lets up to 6 members share a single Family subscription. All members get full access to Premium features — unlimited events, activities, reminders, Gift Rooms, Event Special Lists, and more. One person (the owner) manages the group, billing, and membership.

Subscribe to the Family plan ($14.99/mo or $11.99/mo billed yearly), then go to Settings → Family. Tap "Create Group", name your family, and you'll get a shareable invite link. Send the link to family members — they tap it to join instantly.

Family members tap the invite link shared by the group owner. They'll see a confirmation screen with the group name, and once they accept, they immediately gain access to all Family plan features. Members must have a WishlyBox account (they can create one during the join process).

The base Family plan supports 6 members. You can purchase additional member slots for $1.99/month each from the Family settings page. Each extra slot adds one more person who can join your group and share all Premium features.

As the group owner, open Settings → Family and tap the remove icon next to the member's name. They'll lose access to Premium features immediately and revert to whatever individual plan they had. The freed slot can be used to invite someone else.

If the Family subscription expires, all members lose access to Premium features and revert to individual Free plans. The group itself is preserved — it isn't dissolved — so if the owner renews, everyone regains access without needing to rejoin. Members are notified when the subscription status changes.

Yes. Go to Settings → Family and tap "Leave Group". You'll immediately lose access to shared Premium features and revert to whatever individual plan you had before joining. The group owner is notified when a member leaves.

Go to "Gift History" (accessible from the sidebar menu) and tap "+". Enter the gift name, select the recipient from your contacts (or type a custom name), add the date, a personal rating (1–5 stars), notes about the occasion, and up to 2 photos. This builds a personal gift-giving diary you can reference later.

Gift History helps you avoid giving duplicate gifts, remember what people liked (via star ratings), and see patterns in your gift-giving over time. Each contact's detail page shows a summary of all gifts you've given them, making it easy to plan the next one.

Rate each gift from 1 to 5 stars based on how well it was received. Over time, you'll build up per-recipient averages that show what types of gifts work best for each person. This helps you make better choices in the future.

Notifications are grouped into 8 categories: Contacts (when someone joins), Gift Rooms (invites, messages), Events (reminders), Activities (invitations, RSVPs, reminders, changes, cancellations), Gifts (reservation reminders), Quests (step completions), Secret Santa (draw results), and App News (updates and announcements). You can control each group independently.

Open the Inbox page (bell icon in the header). You can switch between "All" and "Unread" tabs, mark individual or all notifications as read, and select multiple notifications for batch deletion. Each notification is labeled by type so you can quickly identify what needs attention.

Yes. Go to Settings → Notifications. There's a master Push Notifications toggle at the top, and below it each of the 8 notification groups (Contacts, Gift Rooms, Events, Activities, Gifts, Quests, Secret Santa, App News) has independent Push and Email toggles. Turn off just the categories you don't need while keeping the rest active.

The number on the Inbox icon shows how many unread notifications you have. Similarly, the badge on the Gift Rooms tab shows unread room chat messages. Open the respective section and view the items to clear the badge count.

Go to Settings and tap on your profile section. You can update your full name, date of birth, country, and currency. Your email can be changed from Settings → Security — a confirmation is sent to both the old and new email address for safety.

In Settings, tap on your profile picture (or the placeholder). Upload a new photo from your device — supported formats are JPG, PNG, and WebP. The image will be cropped to a circle for display. Large images are automatically resized for performance.

"My Preferences" store your personal tastes: favorite flowers, favorite colors, and favorite fragrances. Friends who can see your profile can view these preferences to choose better gifts for you. Update them anytime from Settings → My Preferences.

Your currency is automatically detected based on your location when you sign up. You can change it in Settings by selecting a different country — the currency updates accordingly. Prices on wishes and gifts will be displayed in your chosen currency. This is a display preference and doesn't affect actual transactions or subscription billing.

Go to Settings → Privacy to set your profile visibility to either "Friends" (only connected friends see your profile and can find you) or "Private" (you don't appear in search results at all). Your wishlists are always controlled by per-wish visibility settings, independent of your profile visibility.

Yes. All data is protected with Row Level Security (RLS) at the database level — every query is filtered to ensure you can only access your own data and data explicitly shared with you. Passwords are never stored in plain text. All connections use HTTPS encryption. The app follows OWASP security best practices.

Go to Settings → Security and tap "Change Password". Enter your current password, then your new password twice. The password must meet the requirements: 8–128 characters with at least one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, one digit, and one special character. A strength indicator shows how secure your new password is.

Go to Settings → Security → Blocked Users. Here you'll see everyone you've blocked. Tap "Unblock" next to a name to restore their ability to see your wishlists and interact with you. Blocking someone removes the friendship connection, so they would need a new invite to reconnect.

Go to Settings → Delete Account. You'll need to confirm your decision. After confirmation, your account enters a 30-day recovery period during which all your data is preserved but your profile is hidden. If you log back in within those 30 days, your account is fully restored. After 30 days, the deletion becomes permanent and all data (wishes, events, contacts, history) is irreversibly removed.

New wishes default to "All Friends" visibility — meaning your connected friends can see them. You can change the default or set each wish individually to Private (only you), Selected (specific friends you choose), or Contact Group (a whole group like Family). Nothing is visible to the general public unless you share a link.

No. Gift reservations are completely hidden from the wish owner — neither the identity of the reserver nor the reservation status is shown, preserving the surprise. Friends viewing the wishlist (and visitors with a share link) can see which items are already reserved to avoid duplicates, but the owner cannot.

The Free plan includes: unlimited wishes and contacts, wishlist sharing via link, 1 Gift Room, up to 5 events, 3 activities, 2 reminders per event, 5 invitations per event, and 3 gift plan recipients. You also get full access to Secret Santa draws, quests, games, time capsules, and gift history. Premium and Family plans remove all numeric limits and unlock Event Special Lists and the reservation visibility toggle.

Yes! You can try any paid plan free for 14 days. The trial is available once per account — so choose which plan you'd like to try. After the trial ends, your account reverts to the Free plan unless you subscribe. Referring friends can extend your trial to 28 days.

Go to Settings → Subscription. Compare plans side by side and tap "Upgrade" on your preferred tier. Choose monthly or yearly billing — yearly saves exactly 20% compared to monthly. Payment is processed through Paddle (web) or the App Store / Google Play (mobile apps). The upgrade takes effect immediately.

If you subscribed on the web: go to Settings → Subscription and tap "Cancel". If you subscribed through the App Store or Google Play: you must cancel through the store's subscription management (the app cannot cancel store subscriptions directly). Either way, your premium features remain active until the end of the current billing period, then your account reverts to the Free plan. Your data is never deleted.

Your data is never deleted when you downgrade. All your wishes, events, contacts, rooms, and history remain intact. However, you may hit Free plan limits — for example, you won't be able to create new events beyond 5, and you'll only have 1 active Gift Room. Existing items stay visible and accessible but you can't add beyond the limits until you upgrade again.

Monthly billing charges you every month (Premium: $5.99/mo, Family: $14.99/mo). Yearly billing charges once per year at a 20% discount (Premium: $4.79/mo = $57.48/year, Family: $11.99/mo = $143.88/year). Both options auto-renew unless cancelled before the next billing date.

The Family plan ($14.99/mo) lets you create a group of up to 6 members who all share Premium features under one subscription. The group owner manages membership via a shareable invite link. Need more than 6? Additional member slots can be purchased for $1.99/month each.
